Where can searches be carried out?

Searches under PACE Code A can be carried out if you are somewhere where there is public access.

Searches under the remaining powers may be carried out anywhere, but use of the powers under Section 60 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 and Section 47A of the Terrorism Act 2000 must be authorsed by senior police officers and confined to specific geographic areas and periods of time.
